Culinary Group to Start Operations at Cannon Mountain
Boston Culinary Group, one of the nations leading providers of
food, beverage and merchandise services in the recreation and
leisure industry, announced today that it will officially start
operations at Cannon Mountain and the Flume on November 1st.
Cannon Mountain, located in beautiful Franconia Notch State Park,
was one of the first ski areas to be developed in the state of
New Hampshire. It is also the site of the first aerial tramway
in North America and now has the only aerial tramway in New Hampshire.
According to Boston Culinary Group President Joe Armstrong, “We
are pleased to have the opportunity to work with the Division of
Parks and Recreation at Cannon Mountain and the Flume. The
great history of Cannon and our 40 years of association with the
ski industry make this a natural fit for both of our organizations.” Amy
Bassett, Marketing Director for Cannon added, “We are excited
to have Boston Culinary Group as our new Concessionaire. The
expertise and talent that they bring to the mountain will enhance
our guests’ experience.”
Boston Culinary Group currently provides food and beverage services
to ski areas throughout New England including Sugarloaf/USA in
Maine, Smugglers Notch in Vermont and Jiminy Peak in western Massachusetts. Mark
Robinson, formerly the manager at Greek Peak Ski Resort in New
York, has been named the General Manager for Cannon and the Flume. Northeast
Vice President Peter Schoener, who will oversee the operations,
remarked “As a New Hampshire resident and avid skier myself,
I have spent a lot of time at Cannon over the years. We look
forward to implementing several new programs this winter which
will improve the dining experience for guests and showcase our
culinary expertise.”
Cannon features several food service areas including the Peabody
Station Pub, Peabody Food Court, a Deli and Tram Summit and Base
operations. The Flume location offers a beautiful food court
and the potential to add several new portable outlets.
Boston Culinary Group is a privately owned and operated company
with approximately 11,000 full and part time employees. The
company provides food services to more than 100 properties throughout
the country including ski resorts, stadiums, arenas, civic and
convention centers, performing arts theatres, amphitheatres, aquariums
and casual dining restaurants.
